Hidden Oreo and Nutella chocolate cupcakes.
I absolutely love surprise on the inside cakes. I made this cake back in 2014 for a friend's birthday but decided I fancied having a go with cupcakes. These little guys are crazy easy to whip up for a kid's party or weekend treat. Fill them with anything you like - M&Ms, marshmallows, peanut butter, strawberries the list is endless.
Preheat Oven: 180 degrees
Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl until smooth. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and salt into the mix. Whisk up the eggs and add them in. Your mixture should be a smooth consistency. Add a little water if it looks too thick. Line your muffin tray with paper cases or silicon cupcake cases. Drop one Oreo per cupcake into the base. Spoon the mixture over the Oreo but don't fill to the very top. Bake for 15-20 mins and then leave to cool.
Once cool cut a small hole in the middle of the cupcake and fill with Nutella. Cover with a frosting of your choice and sprinkle with leftover crushed Oreos. I must admit I cheated here and used good old Betty Crocker's vanilla frosting.
Have you ever tried making surprise on the inside cupcakes?
