Bye bye diet.
My first attempt at baking with our new oven, so I could definitely make these better next time. I love a good chewy brownie but these came out more cakey than chewy. Nevertheless, I will still gobble the lot.
Preheat Oven: 180 degrees
Cracking on with the salted caramel sauce, melt the butter and sugar together in a microwave safe bowl then slowly add the cream.
Place the bowl into the microwave on a high heat for 2 minutes.
Add the salt, and leave to one side to thicken. Be careful not to touch the mixture, as it will buuuuuuuuurn.
For the brownies, melt the chocolate, butter and sugar together in a bowl and combine thoroughly.
Then add the beaten eggs.
Slowly add the flour, a bit at a time. Once combined, add a pinch of salt.
Pour half the mixture into a baking tin. Then add the caramel sauce over the top and finish with a layer of the brownie mixture. Bake for 25-35 minutes. Remove from the oven while still slightly gooey.
Sprinkle some sea salt over the top, et voila!
