Or eggy bread sticks as I call it.
Ohhhhhhhhh sweet lord, these are DEVINE! Ridiculously simple to make. You can just about chuck anything in the middle - nutella, cream, bananas, strawberries, bacon. Or you could eat them plain.
Start by chopping the crusts off each slice.
Then using a rolling pin or last night's empty bottle of wine, roll out and flatten each piece.
At one end of your piece of bread, add a spread of peanut butter followed by the jam so it looks like so:
Then roll the piece of bread starting from the peanut butter end. Do this to each piece of bread.
Now whisk your eggs and milk together in a bowl and dip each roll up into the eggy mixture.
Once all the roll ups have been thoroughly coated, throw a knob of butter into a pan and place on a medium heat for 10 minutes.
Turn the roll ups so they are golden brown on all sides.
Sprinkle some icing sugar on top for an extra sweetness, et voila!
