Effortlessly pointless but oh so heavenly.
So not the prettiest of my posts but a fun novelty for a lazy afternoon.
I would love to say that this was my idea, but alas it was created by Dominique Ansel who invented the Cronut. If you don't know what the Cronut is then what are you doing with your life? I adapted the recipe to what I had in the cupboard.
Preheat Oven: 140 degrees
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the beaten egg.
Add the flour and salt.
Mix in the chocolate chips.
Roll a strip of baking parchment inside the shot glass. Then add small amounts of the cookie dough mix to the base and sides, making sure it is even.
Scrunch some foil into a small shape and place in the middle of your cookie shot glass. This will enable your shot glass to keep its shape and also aid in making sure the heat gets to the bottom.
Using a bain marie place your shot glasses into a tray and bake for 25-30 minutes. Once baked, leave to cool and remove from the shot glasses. I used a knife to trim the edges to make them neater.
Line the inside with your melted chocolate and put in the fridge to set for 20 minutes. If you don't use the melted chocolate, the milk will make your cookie shot glass soggy.
Once set, pour the milk into your shot glasses and enjoy!
Not my finest work, sorry Mr. Ansel but an alright first attempt.
Salut, chin chin, yamas, na zdorovie!
